Waffle Plant

Species of Strobilanthes also knowns as the purple waffle plant, red ivy, red flame ivy. 

This plant has unique purple undersides and gorgeous oval shaped leaves that are dark green. Prefers full shade but can take a little bit of sun, and can be planted in hardiness zones 10 to 12. It is a perennial and makes a great addition to any indoor gardenor mixed flower arrangement with other shade loving plants. 

Plant height in the ground can reach 6 to 9 inches, and spread about 1.6 feet. Can be trimmed for indoor planters as well.
