Imagine a shrub all covered with popcorn balls! An awesome sight in bloom! This rounded shrub is vigorous but tight in habit with leathery, dark green foliage. Hundreds of 3" round popcorn ball flowers line every branch, virtually obscuring the foliage in the spring.
Autumn brings brilliant scarlet hues to the veined deep green leaves.
The rounded blooms are Irresistible to butterflies, standing out delightfully against attractive olive-green foliage. They last for weeks in mid- to late spring, and when they are past the attractive dark green foliage stays fresh into summer.
This variety sets no fruit, concentrating all its energy on blooms.
