Pilea Mollis
AKA Moon valley pilea has bright green leaves with reddish purple veins. The leaves are rough with dimpled leaves and are naturally bushy. This plant stays pretty small, typically under 12 inches in height so it is perfect for windowsills and tabletops. Another plus is that it doesn't need very much sunlight to thrive! Score!
Not suited for full sun, can thrive in bright indirect sunlight to medium light. Maximum of 2 hours of direct light after acclimated. Watering habits are once to twice a week, keeping soil slightly moist, and watering when it starts to dry out. Tolerates average home humidity, prefers high humidity. Does best with average home temperatures, 65 degrees to 75 degrees F. So, if you're feeling comfortable, so is this Moon Valley Pilea.
If leaves start to turn brown or greyish, it is either too cold or receiving too little light. Wilting leaves means it's being under-watered. Super easy to propagate with cuttings so feel free to share the wealth of this beautiful plant with all your family and friends!
Great plant for contrast in terrariums, and other mixed pot creations.
