Vintage Red Yarrow Plant (1 Gal.)
New Vintage Red Yarrow Achillea m. Balvinred Plant
One Gallon Size
A Yarrow bred to be short and compact with stems that won’t fall over under the weight of its flowers. Features lacey silver-green foliage and blooms late spring through summer with flat umbels of tiny, pink/ light red flowers. Makes a great front of the bed plant in cottage gardens and perennial beds. Can take full sun but will also grow well in part sun inland.
Growing Yarrow
Cut back blooms throughout the season to encourage new ones. Prefers regular to occasional water once established. Tolerant of most soil types as long as they are well-draining. The naming of this selection is a bit misleading as the flower color is much more in the pink ranges rather than red. Like most Achillea used in the S. California region, material will ‘winterize’ but typically not go fully dormant.
You will receive one well rooted plant. It will be shipped with the roots wrapped in damp paper towels and with plastic and ready to plant upon arrival. The plant will be between 10 to 12 inches in height with well-developed roots. These plants have been growing in one gallon containers.
