☀️ Light Requirements

Provide bright, indirect or filtered light for the best growth. A bright window is ideal, but protect the plant from prolonged exposure to intense afternoon sunlight.

A few hours of gentle morning sun can be beneficial. Adequate light also helps support healthy growth and flowering.

💧 Watering

Thoroughly soak your Tillandsia in room-temperature water for approximately 20–30 minutes once a week.

After soaking, gently shake off excess water and place the plant in an area with good air circulation. Allow it to dry completely before returning it to its display.

During hot or very dry periods, additional watering may be necessary.

Important: Avoid leaving water trapped in the center of the rosette for extended periods, as excessive moisture can contribute to rot.

💨 Air Circulation

Good airflow is essential for healthy Tillandsia. Make sure your plant has adequate ventilation, particularly after watering.

Avoid sealed containers or displays where moisture can become trapped around the foliage.

Keep your Tropiflora in temperatures between approximately 55–85°F. Protect it from freezing temperatures, extreme heat, and cold drafts.

Average household humidity is generally suitable. Moderate to higher humidity can be beneficial as long as the plant is able to dry properly after watering.

🌱 Fertilizer

For stronger growth and improved blooming potential, fertilize approximately once a month during the growing season with a diluted Tillandsia, bromeliad, or air plant fertilizer.

Use fertilizer sparingly and avoid applying concentrated fertilizer directly to the foliage.

🌸 Flowering & Pups

Tillandsia fasciculata is especially appreciated for its impressive flowering habit. As a mature plant approaches blooming, the foliage and flower spike may develop more intense coloration.

After flowering, the plant may produce offsets known as pups around the base. These pups can eventually mature into additional air plants, allowing your collection to grow naturally.
