Description

The European Hornbeam has a muscular looking bark that is smooth and fluted.

Also known as European Ironwood, it has patterned leaves and drooping clusters of fruit.

It's autumn color is yellow-green, or possibly a fiery red.

As a deciduous bonsai tree, it should be kept outdoors.
