Braided Money Tree Care Instructions

Light:
Place your Money Tree in bright, indirect light for best growth. It can tolerate moderate light, but insufficient light may result in slower growth and leaf loss. Rotate the plant occasionally to encourage even growth.

Water:
Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feels dry. Water thoroughly until excess water drains from the bottom of the pot, then empty any water collected in the saucer.

Avoid keeping the soil constantly wet. Overwatering is one of the most common causes of problems with Money Trees.

Humidity:
Pachira aquatica enjoys moderate to higher humidity. It generally adapts well to average household humidity but may benefit from additional humidity during particularly dry conditions.

Temperature:
Keep your Money Tree in a warm location between approximately 65–85°F. Protect it from cold drafts, air-conditioning vents, and temperatures below 50°F.

Soil:
Use a well-draining indoor potting mix. A container with drainage holes is important to prevent excess moisture from accumulating around the roots.

Fertilizer:
Feed with a balanced, water-soluble houseplant fertilizer approximately once a month during the spring and summer growing season. Reduce fertilizing during fall and winter when growth naturally slows.

Pruning:
Prune lightly as needed to maintain the desired shape and encourage fuller growth. Remove yellow or damaged leaves with clean scissors.

Important Care Tip

The biggest key to a healthy Money Tree is proper watering and drainage. Allow the soil to partially dry between waterings rather than keeping it constantly moist. Place the plant in bright, indirect light and rotate it periodically for balanced growth.
