Arctostaphylos Pacific Mist Manzanita is a low-growing, sprawling shrub that grows 2-feet tall with a spread of 6-10 feet. It has twisting branches that are pinkish at first, then mature to a dark purple-brown and turn upwards towards the tips. These branches have narrow gray-green foliage that is 2 to 3 inches long and grayer in hotter inland landscapes and greener near the coast, where it performs best. It occasionally flowers in late winter with small white urn-shaped flowers that are followed by red berries.
