☀️ Light Requirements
Tillandsia Abdita prefers bright, indirect or filtered light. Place it near a bright window where it receives plenty of natural light.
Gentle morning sunlight can be beneficial, but avoid prolonged exposure to intense afternoon sun, which can cause leaf damage or dehydration.
Good lighting can also help encourage stronger coloration.
💧 Watering
Soak your Abdita in room-temperature water for approximately 20–30 minutes once a week.
After watering, gently shake off excess moisture and place the plant somewhere with good air circulation. Allow it to dry completely before returning it to its display.
During hot or particularly dry conditions, your air plant may need additional watering.
Important: Do not allow water to remain trapped in the center of the plant for extended periods, as this can contribute to rot.
💨 Air Circulation
Good airflow is essential for Tillandsia. Make sure your Abdita has plenty of air movement, especially after watering.
Avoid placing it in sealed containers or enclosed displays where moisture can become trapped.
🌡️ Temperature & Humidity
Keep your Tillandsia Abdita in temperatures between approximately 55–85°F. Protect it from freezing temperatures, extreme heat, and cold drafts.
Average household humidity is generally suitable. Moderate to higher humidity can be beneficial, provided the plant can dry properly after watering.
🌱 Fertilizer
For additional growth and blooming support, fertilize approximately once a month during the growing season using a diluted Tillandsia, bromeliad, or air plant fertilizer.
Avoid over-fertilizing, as concentrated fertilizer can damage the plant.
🌸 Color & Blooming
Tillandsia Abdita is especially attractive when its foliage develops deeper red or burgundy tones. Color intensity can vary depending on the plant's maturity, light exposure, and stage of growth.
Mature plants may produce colorful blooms and eventually develop offsets, known as pups, around the base.
📦 Shipping & Plant Appearance
You will receive one live Tillandsia Abdita in your selected size range. Plants are living products, so exact size, shape, fullness, coloration, and growth habit will naturally vary.
The plant may experience temporary curling, dryness, or minor cosmetic changes during shipping. Give it a thorough soak upon arrival and allow it time to acclimate to its new environment.
